The dust reduction venturi is intended as a fine airborne dust mitigation system for the Katya Ironworks Hovercraft Mk-II Trim Router Offset Baseplate System. Developed with backpack vacuums in mind, it keeps your standard 1.5" vacuum hose near the cut, and reduces fine airborne dust. It does this without blocking your view of the cut or getting in the way of your work. It is lathe turned from a solid block of metal and the walls are 1/8" thick. ANd it bolts on with socket bolts. It is rock solid, and virtually impossible for the hose to fall off. You can freely use a hose clamp on it and feel free to tighten it secure; you are going to break the hose clamp before our venturi.
You can install the venturi left or right side, or in the middle, or any comfortable location you wish in between. It can be bolted above or below the cut plane. Choose depending on how you want the vacuum hose routed and where most of the dust is being thrown at. For above-plane installations you can leave it on the system with no interference with your workpiece or any other Hovercraft Mk-II accessory.
Designed to be compatible with the Milwaukee M18 (TM) FUEL (TM) 3-in-1 Backpack Vacuum Model 0855-20. It will also work with any vacuum with a 1.5" ID hose.
